We had just moved, after living in the same house for 11 years. I would sit on the porch, pondering the move and my new life. I heard a faint meow and saw a small cat, who hid in the leaves. We put food and water on the porch, with a box and a blanket so she could take shelter from the chilly Fall air. One day, she hopped in my lap, and I saw she was declawed on her front paws. After a few months, we brought her inside. I was determined to call her Baby Girl, but my family named her Lucy. She's been with us for almost 4 years and she is a shy lovely "baby girl". Please consider saving a stray from the streets!
