I met Charlie one day while I was volunteering at the local Humane Society when I was in college. I fell in love once I took him out of his cage for a walk. I took him home the next day for an overnight stay to make sure he would get along with our lab, Lady. Everything went just fine, and so I quickly arranged for his adoption. The next week, I took him to the vet. I got him all up to date on his shots, but found out he had heart worms--I was devastated, I couldn't imagine already losing such a great pet, so I let the vet take him for a week for treatment. One week later and heart worm free, I brought him home and we have been inseparable since. Little Charlie dog never leaves my side and is always ready to cuddle or play. He now lives happily in the lap of luxury and of course he is spoiled rotten. :)
