A few years ago I was volunteering at the Milpitas Humane Society for an adoption fair and the last thing on my mind that day was adopting an animal for me. I was exploring the facility and took a walk through the adult cat area. I’ve always been more of a dog person but I had always wanted a "TV Cat", you know the sweet loving cats you see on TV. Well, her green eyes are what stopped me. The rescue was excited that I wanted to see her because she was 7 years old, most people want kittens. When I went in to her condo to say "hi", she immediately jumped on her perch, placed her paws on my shoulder and kissed my nose. That was pretty much all it took. My sister was with me and informed me that I had been picked. I know Lilly Belle adopted me that day. She is the sweetest and most loving cat; she's my little shadow (when she's not getting her beauty rest, of course). I have always adopted from shelters and rescues and I truly believe these animals know they've traded up and are grateful when they find their forever homes. Needless to say Queen Lilly Belle is definitely the Queen of her castle. And I finally have my "TV Cat". A happy ending for all.
