He showed up on our porch in horrible shape; no fur, all scabs, so emaciated we could see every bone. We keep dry food set out for strays, so we encouraged him to eat. He shook the whole time. Then we noticed he was declawed! That was too much, so off he went to the Vet. He has an over-active immune system which steroids controls. We called him Rags, and didn't have much hope for his survival, but two years later he is a lush, plush boy who is full of gratitude and love. We are blessed to have him with us.
