My son was walking back to his apartment from his car when he thought he heard a tiny meow close by. He searched around and finally found that the sound was coming from under the hood of a car in his apartment complex parking lot. It took him 2 hours of gentle coaxing, pleading and food offerings to finally get the kitten to come out from under the hood. She was only 4-5 weeks old and no mommy cat in sight. She was missing many of the whiskers from the left side of her face and was full of fleas. She is now almost 4 months old and loves to cuddle and play with me and my other 3 rescued cats. We named her Rue. She brings endless joy to our lives.
The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need — providing food and vital care for some of the eight million unwanted animals given to shelters every year in the U.S., as well as animals in desperate need around the world. Over four million animals are put to death each year in the U.S. alone because they are abandoned and unwanted.
