She hung around our fence line for weeks - a little black wraith who disappeared when I neared her. She melted like smoke so I named her after the elusive swamp wraith. I started putting food in the tractor shed and, over weeks, she came closer and closer. She began to hang around and "talk" to me. Then one day she climbed up onto my shoulder and purred. We were attached. She's been my house kitten ever since. Her first vet visit we found out she had been spayed and tattooed. The vet said she was probably from Canada and we're 20 miles from the boarder. What an epic journey. All nasty thoughts to the people who dumped her! All blessings to the spirits who sent her to us.
