Republican representative Mike Pence has it out for America's women. He has launched an effort to take vital healthcare away from women, including family planning programs, cancer screenings, HIV and other STD testing, and birth control.

These resources shouldn't be cut due to partisan politics — they're simply concerns of human rights. Many women rely on governmental programs and public funding to obtain the care and assistance they need. It's simply counterintuitive to eliminate funding that goes toward healthy family planning, safe sexual health, and other important health-related programs.

Yet Representative Pence continues to wage his war against women. Sign the petition urging Representative Pence to educate himself on the true realities and benefits of these important programs, and to ultimately cease his anti-women agenda.

Dear Representative Mike Pence,

I'm very concerned about your attempt to eliminate vital healthcare funding for America's women. You are waging a war against programs like family planning, critical cancer screenings, HIV and other STD tests, and birth control. But are you aware that family planning programs help prevent hundreds of thousands of unplanned pregnancies per year? Did you know that sexual education programs give teens the tools they need to make informed, educated choices about their sexual health?

Eliminating these resources will only exacerbate the problems they are attempting to solve. If you take away family planning, there will no doubt be a spike in unwanted pregnancies and consequently, abortions. I assume that's not something you see as ideal. If you remove cancer screening funding, countless women won't receive the care they need to either prevent or treat the disease. You'll undoubtedly see a rise in female sickness and death.

Your push to remove these vital resources is shortsighted and based in no fact at all. If you simply did some research you would see just how much programs like these are helping women today.

If you move forward with these cuts, you'll be responsible for many more unwanted pregnancies, abortions, sicknesses, and deaths.

Please reconsider your position and stand up for America's women.
