Buddy, rescued by Naomi Greenfield

Thanks to you, we have enough eligible photos to create our 2011 signature Animal Rescue Site calendars!

We want to thank you ALL for submitting such fabulous photos and stories of your rescued friends. Although we cannot use all of them for the 2011 signature Animal Rescue Site calendars, we hope to feature them in other ways over the course of the next year, because they are all wonderful and worth sharing!

2011 is a whole year away. We know that's far to long to wait for great rescue stories and photos!

So until then, we hope that you will enjoy our signature 2010 calendars, as well as the wonderful stories available on our site. Each rescue story was submitted by a clicker like you. In addition, we have some wonderful stories from shelters to share!

We also wanted to share some of the great pet photos that didn't quite make it into the calendar, but were too cute not to share. That's right — the photos on this page all feature animals rescued by you. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

Questions?

Bongo, rescued by Becky in Seattle

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about calendar submissions:

· Is it too late to submit my story and photo? Yes, the photos for our signature calendars have already been collected. However, we still encourage you to share your inspiring story with everyone on our rescue stories page!

· Will you let me know if my pet's photo is chosen for your 2011 signature calendar? Absolutely. If your submission is chosen, we will send you a notification at the e-mail address you used to submit your story and photo.

· Will you be using these photos and stories elsewhere? We love reading and sharing your wonderful rescue stories! Not every story can be published, but we hope to share some of those that did not make it into our calendar elsewhere. Stay tuned!

· Where are your 2010 signature calendars? Our Canine Companions 2010 Calendar and our Feline Friends 2010 Calendar are available in our store.

· Is it okay that I re-submitted as story I've sent to your site before? Absolutely, as long as the story met all of our criteria.

· Was there a deadline? There was no solid deadline for this project. We needed to keep asking for stories and photos until we had strong enough selection that fully fit our criteria to make the 2011 calendar. Thanks to your involvement, we have been successful!

· My pet was rescued, but not from a shelter. Was my story okay to submit? Of course! Animals of all kinds are rescued every day. They come not only from shelters, but from homelessness, just plain being lost, and other unfortunate circumstances. Your story of rescue is welcome!

· I sent a hard copy of my photo and story by mail. Does it qualify? Unfortunately, the constraints of our calendar require very high-resolution photos. Because of these requirements, we were only able accept digital submissions.

· I submitted a story about my rescued pet who has passed away. Was this okay? Yes. Pets who have passed away remain an important source of strength and inspiration in our lives. We are happy to hear your story, and to share the joy of your special rescue with others.
