Gae sa lak is a traditional Thai sculptural process used in carving for decorative purposes. Thatsanee and Ramphan apply this method to a series of ceramic products, each one with floral and organic shapes hand-carved into the clay before the piece is fired. The piece is then glazed in the traditional celadon method, featuring a lightly crackled antique appearance. This beautifully shaped vase is adorned with a wonderful elephant design that wraps around the piece's bulbous base. Made in Thailand.
